Helpful Tips and Hints

• Make sure they block at least 99% of UV light or have the letters ANSI, which means they meet the requirements of the American National Standards Institute.
• Look for glasses that completely cover your eyes and wrap around your temples to block rays entering from the side.
• Avoid blue-blocking plastic lenses. They’re thought to increase exposure to the sun’s blue light, which may lead to macular degeneration.
• Don’t assume that darker lenses provide more protection.
