How Weekends Can Hurt Your Diet

The weekends are a great way to relax and spend time with family and friends, But all those little league games, parties and movies can really wreak havoc on your diet.

Researchers have discovered that even people who are careful about what they eat during the week, tend to blow it when Saturday rolls around by loading up on high-calorie foods. They end up gaining weight.

The investigators say weekend bingeing may be one reason why so many people have trouble losing weight—and keeping it off.

So to prevent ruining an entire week's worth of careful eating, plan ahead before you go on any weekend outings. Instead of heading to the concession stand for a hot dog and fries, try packing your own healthy snacks.

You'll have a much better chance of hitting your diet goals.
