Workout Your Upper Body With Your Groceries
Lugging grocery bags from the car into the kitchen isn't much fun, is it? But you know what? Now is actually an ideal time to sneak in a few simple arm exercises. Here is a great exercise for your shoulders. It's called the Upright Row.
Grab two grocery bags of similar weight. Keep your stomach in, lift your chest.
Raise your arms and bend your elbows up no higher than parallel to the floor and then back down.
Do as many as you can on your way into the house 12-15 would be ideal.
Next, try the Lateral Raise. This too is for your shoulders. Start with your elbows tucked in. Pull in your stomach and lift your chest. Raise your arms up until they're parallel to the ground, and then lower them back down
There's one morethe front raise will work the front of your shoulders.
Keep your arms straight, stomach in and chest lifted. Raise your arms in front of you.
Stop when you are parallel to the floor and lower back down.
See, you got the groceries into the house and got a mini-workout at the same time!
Before you start any exercise program, check it out with your doctor first.
Remember, no matter what you're doing, there are always ways to fit a little exercise into your day.
